Light up
Journal Entry: Sun Dec 9, 2007, 9:11 AM
Illuminare (Ilu-mina-re) is Italian for light up or illuminare, as the book speaks much about light which is the principal element in an old but not-so-popular technique in photography called light painting. ILLUMINARE: A Photography Guide to Light Painting is the first book to be written about the subject that goes most in-depth in discussing this photographic technique. The authors goal in publishing his work is to spark a new trend and a new era in Philippine art photography.
The book is proudly Filipino written and Philippine published, aiming to inspire other Filipino artists to write and share their knowledge, hoping that books of art will become more accessible to our people, so that they would no longer have to resort to buying books by foreign authors and publishers.
